The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a former Mamelodi Sundowns footballer has been Revealed. He has returned to his home.

TS Galaxy midfielder Khayelihle Shozi, who is currently on loan at JDR Stars, has been found, according to Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach Steve Komphela. Shozi was reported missing in October last year.

On Wednesday, the 27-year-old vanished without a trace, prompting his worried family to go on the quest for him.

Many people joined the family in their search for Shozi, including Sundowns co-coaches Rulani Mokwena and Steve Komphela, who appealed for public help in finding the former Sundowns star.

It was not the first time the ex-South African Under-23 footballer had gone away, as he had previously gone absent for a lengthier amount of time, prompting the family to seek the help of a traditional healer in order to locate Shozi.

According to Komphela, the former Sundowns and SuperSport United player is depressed and has chosen to isolate himself from his loved ones.

“Thank you so much to all who thought of us, attempted helping us, those who assisted indeed,” Komphela tweeted.

“The boy has been found apparently. Hoping indeed he’s okay to receive further intervention to assist him [to] regain his dignity and self-esteem.”
