Former Kaizer Chiefs player shines at Stellenbosch

Orlando Pirates is reportedly keeping an eye on Darrel Matsheke, a player who recently represented their arch rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

Matsheke, a holding midfielder, was released by the Glamour Boys before the new season and joined Stellenbosch FC, where he has been in impressive form.

The former Chiefs academy star has scored two goals and provided three assists in 15 appearances for the Cape Winelands outfit.

Orlando Pirates looking for a midfielder

According to SoccerLaduma, Pirates are in search of a holding midfielder to add to their squad for next season and Matsheke’s name has come up as a potential signing.

“Pirates are monitoring Darrel Matsheke’s progress at Stellenbosch.

“The club (Pirates) is in search of a holding midfielder to add to the squad for next season and Darrel’s name has come up as a potential signing.”

However Stellenbosch FC are not ready to let go of their new star. Therefore they warned Orlando Pirates to stay away from their boy and that he is not for sale. But you will never know what the future holds.
