On an episode of The Daily Show on March 11, Trevor Noah, a South African-born comedian, criticized American reality star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian over a controversial comment she made about working hard.

Kim Kardashian, her sisters, and her mother, Kris Jenner, took part in a cover shoot for Variety. This was done to advertise The Kardashians, their new Hulu show.

When Kim said something provocative about hard effort, it made people’s tongues wag. Women should get their “f***** a****” up and work, according to the reality star. People no longer enjoy working, she continued.

“I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f***** a**** and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days,” she said.

Many people were offended by the Skims founder’s remark, causing a social media uproar. Many people reacted angrily to the reality star, including Trevor Noah. Trevor was concerned that Kim’s remark would come across as patronizing. This is due to the fact that she hails from a wealthy family and hence has an advantage over other ladies.

Kim was born to a lawyer father, Robert Kardashian, and a professional athletic stepfather, Bruce Jenner, according to Trevor (now Kaitlyn Jenner).

“Here’s the thing that maybe Kim Kardashian doesn’t understand. It can come off as extremely condescending to tell women the reason they are not successful is because they are too lazy to get off their a*ses and actually work,” he said.

“Because, yes, Kim Kardashian works hard but you know who else works hard? Women. But you know what a*ses don’t have? It’s Kim’s luck to be born into a rich family,” he continued.
