BREAKING | Three players are expected to leave Naturena as the mass exodus continues.
Kaizer Chiefs mass exodus continues… THREE players who could still leave Naturen
The Kaizer Chiefs are far from finished. There are still a few big names who may leave Naturena in the coming weeks…
The Chiefs have already said goodbye to NINE players, with TWO more on the transfer list. This brings their total number of exits to 11 – enough to replace an entire starting lineup!
Leonardo Castro, Samir Nurkovic, Lazarous Kambole, Lebogang Manyama, Daniel Cardoso, Bernard Parker, Dumisani Zuma, Kearyn Baccus, and Daniel Akpeyi are among the Naturena players who have left the club. According to recent reports, Teddy Akumu and S’fiso Hlanti have both been placed on the transfer list.
However, Kaizer Motaung, Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard are not done yet.
These THREE men could still leave Naturena in coming weeks:
THREE CHIEFS PLAYERS THAT COULD STILL LEAVE NATURENA
– ERIC MATHOHO
Mathoho may have played his last game for Chiefs already. Having served the club for the better part of a decade, the veteran defender now finds himself in a position of uncertainty. This is because he was a shadow of his former self this season.
Making several costly era’s that lead to even more costly goals. Something Amakhosi just can’t afford at this level if they are to compete for silverware.
He is also over 30 and Zwane has the backing of Motaung in his motion to push young talent.
No official announcement has been made on the towering defender yet but it seems he is on borrowed time at Naturena.
– ITUMELENG KHUNE/BRUCE BVUMA
Don’t worry, both players are unlikely to leave simultaneously. However, there is a pretty decent chance of one of these men leaving Amakhosi.
This is because both players are desperate for gametime. Bvuma will need a lot more gametime if he is to show Hugo Broos that he is good enough for the 2023 Afcon with Bafana Bafana as his priority.

In contrast, Khune is adamant that he still has so much fuel left in the tank. As Amakhosi’s last remaining legend, he will want to finish his career on a high with atleast one major trophy.
– RAMAHLWE MPHAHLELE
Mphahlele is a veteran PSL and Chiefs player, he is also Amakhosi’s former captain.
Unfortunately, he is also over 30 years of age and there are red-hot youngsters ready to step up under Zwane. Siyabonga Ngezana, Austin Dube, Njabulo Ngcobo and Reeve Frosler all offer exciting options at the back for Amakhosi.
In the next few weeks will will see who survives the axe as it continues to cut through the Soweto giants.
