Itumeleng Beverly Makhura, 31, was discovered dead under her boyfriend’s bed, while her 11-year-old daughter was found lifeless on top of the same bed.
A toddler and her mother were found dead at her boyfriend’s home in Nellmapius, Pretoria, and police are probing the double homicide.
Itumeleng Beverly Makhura, 31, was discovered dead under her boyfriend’s bed on Sunday evening, bringing the search for her to a devastating end.
Makhura was last seen with him at the Joe Babanana tavern in the vicinity on Friday and has been missing since. Following a frightening finding, a search was initiated for her.
Her 11-year-old kid, whose father is her lover, was discovered dead on a bed in his Dimakatso Street residence.
The girl’s lifeless corpse was discovered by members of the community and family who had been urgently seeking for her mother, according to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Isaac Mculu.
“A missing person’s investigation was started for the mother once the child was discovered,” Mculu added.
Later, when the police were looking for Itumeleng, the community and family members discovered her dead under the same bed.
“There is no known motivation for the killings, and a murder case is being probed,” Mculu added.
“Since the bodies were discovered, a search has been begun for the woman’s boyfriend, Kenneth Debeila ‘Majozi’ (31) who was last seen leaving the residence with suitcases around 08:00 on March 21,” Mculu added.
