Terrence Mashego, a player for Cape Town City, made a lethal claim about his future.

Left-back for Cape Town City and Bafana Bafana Terrence Mashego has revealed why he would refuse to join Mamelodi Sundowns even if an offer was made to him.

Mashego, 23, has risen to prominence this season after being called up by Hugo Broos for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and starring for City in their run to the MTN8 final.

While he admits that joining one of the big three would be a good move, he believes it is not the right time because it would potentially stunt his development as a footballer.

“To be honest going to Sundowns would be an opportunity, it would be a big thing because Sundowns is a big team, and they are challenging,” he told Thabiso Mosia on SA FM.
