Suspects arrested for drug possession are apprehended by integrated police operations.

WESTERN CAPE, SOUTH AFRICA – An coordinated operation between Crime Intelligence, Bonnievale, and Robertson SAPS led to the arrest of an adult foreign national on Wednesday, March 09, 2022, after they received information about a black Mercedes Benz smuggling drugs.

The information was put to use, and the vehicle was stopped and searched, yielding 200 gram crystal meth and 190 mandrax tablets. On suspicion of narcotics possession, the suspect was apprehended and incarcerated.

After being charged, the suspect will appear in Robertson Magistrates Court to face the charges.

Furthermore, yesterday, an integrated operation involving Crime Intelligence, the Mbekweni Crime Prevention Unit, and the Boland K9 Unit resulted in the arrest of two suspects aged 27 and 28 after they searched a property in Nozolile Street, Project Two, Mbekweni.

The members investigated drug-related information at a specific location. The location was searched, and 452,1 gram tik, 124,35 gram mandrax powder, 442 whole mandrax pills, 20 half mandrax tablets, nine quarter mandrax tablets, and an undetermined amount of cash were seized.

The suspects are scheduled to appear in the Paarl Magistrates Court on drug possession allegations after they have been charged.
