SuperSport United Coach Hunt will decide whether to sign Mamelodi Sundowns Midfielder or not.

SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews has given an update on the club’s interest in Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Promise Mkhuma, now that Gavin Hunt has been appointed as head coach

Matthews confirmed to the Siya crew a few months ago that the club was interested in signing Mkhuma from Sundowns. Former Matsatsantsa coach Kaitano Tembo was interested in having him on board, but with Hunt now at the helm, it remains to be seen if he will want to have the former national under-20 player on board in the upcoming season.

Mkhuma and his representatives are believed to be looking for a club where he can play regularly, after he was unable to make a single appearance in the DStv Premiership last season. Hunt holds the key for Mkhuma, who is hungry for more game-time.

“I will discuss with Gavin all the options available to us. If Promise is available, we will have to see. At the time he was available and Kaitano want ed him. Let’s see. Those are the kind of discussions I need to have with Gavin over the weekend,” Matthews told the Siya crew.

SuperSport, meanwhile, confirmed that they have signed Grant Margeman on loan from Sundowns, with an option to extend the deal. The club is looking to make four more signings.
