Sundowns reject offer for Bafana Bafana star.
Can he rebuild his career?
Despite offers, Sundowns appears committed to keeping a forgotten Bafana Bafana player who has dropped down the ranks.
De Reuck is still in Sundowns’ plans
The excellent center defender Rushine de Reuck will stay with the champions despite a string of ailments that have caused him to lose his way for Bafana and Sundowns. The availability of the 28-year-old has been questioned by Sekhukhune United, according to iDiski Times. He has only played once this season in the Betway Premiership. He has 17 Bafana Bafana caps. In late 2022, however, the most recent of those occurred.
“Mamelodi Sundowns have rejected an approach from Sekhukhune United for defender Rushine De Reuck. Sekhukhune approached Sundowns for a six-month loan deal ahead of the January window, but it’s been turned down, presumably due to the arrival of new head coach Miguel Cardoso. It remains to be seen if the technical restructure will now turn around the fortunes of De Reuck at Masandawana.”
Orlando Pirates chase the new Mbesuma
The Orlando Pirates are among the top three teams vying for Lungelo “Mbesuma” Nguse’s services during the January transfer window, according to the Citizen. Growing up, the Golden Arrows player, often known by his moniker Mbesuma, looked up to Betway Premiership legend Collins Mbesuma. The renowned Zambian Collins played for the Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. Transfermarkt values Nguse, a physically intimidating forward, at €300k (R5.5 million).
Sesane to France to help Montpellier survive relegation?
According to Soccer Laduma, Ligue 1 relegation-threatened Montpellier was interested in Thabiso Sesane. Having played in all eight of the Pirates’ league games this season, the 24-year-old has established himself as a mainstay in the back four. He has essentially taken over as their team sheet’s first name. He has gained Bafana prominence and admirers overseas as a result of his consistency. The Pirates would need to carefully consider their options if Montpellier made a strong offer to solidify their interest in the gifted Bucs academy graduate.
