Soweto rivals show shock interest in Kaizer Chiefs star!
A Soweto giant has surprisingly turned to a Kaizer Chiefs outcast as their next transfer target, as they see his potential.
A Soweto rivals is just one of two clubs that has shown interest in a Kaizer Chiefs star for next season.
Some changes are expected at the end of the season, which will affect players and coaching staff at Chiefs.
Chiefs find themselves languishing in seventh place in the DStv Premiership thus far, with the squad underperforming. The team has not fared much better in the cup competitions either. Under Molefi Ntseki, they were knocked out of both the MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cup. That prompted the Amakhosi management to relieve the former Bafana Bafana coach of his duties.
Chiefs then redeployed Cavin Johnson as their interim coach from his role overseeing the club’s academy. The club found themselves knocked out of the Nedbank Cup during his tenure. Under both coaches, one player that has not had a look in is midfielder Sabelo Radebe. The former DStv Diski Challenge captain has found it tough to breakthrough at senior level. The current campaign being his third full season as an outcast in the squad.
Promoted under Gavin Hunt during the 2021/22 season, Radebe saw even his former DDC coach Arthur Zwane snub him. In the past two seasons, the playmaker has only made five appearances with the writing perhaps on the wall. According to reports, AmaZulu and Moroka Swallows are interested in the player.
AMAZULU AND SWALLOWS INTERESTED IN RADEBE
“There is Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu FC who have shown interest in him (Radebe). For now they are talking about a loan deal so the club (Chiefs) is ready to loan him out as long as they can agree on some of the conditions of the loans. AmaZulu had shown interest in January but things didn’t work out so let’s wait and see at the end of the season what will happen next season,” said the source to the same publication.
TIME TO LEAVE CHIEFS?
As it stands, Radebe has even been usurped by young Mfundo Vilakazi in the Chiefs set up. It, therefore, doesn’t look like he will make an impact in the final part of the season either. Maybe a move to Swallows or AmaZulu next season, is the best solution.
