Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya Breaks His Silent Over His Return
Chiefs lost 1-0 to Royal AM on Sunday, after Victor Letsoalo scored a first half penalty.
Ntiya-Ntiya, who was transfer listed at the start of the season, has found himself getting an opportunity at the club, especially after so many of their squad was unavailable following the covid-19 outbreak at the club.
The 25-year-old is confident that if they put in the work, they can get back to winning ways against Maritzburg United.
“In terms of the results I think it was disappointing,” Ntiya-Ntiya told the club’s media department.
“But in terms of the performance, I think we tried by all means to do what we were required to do by the coaches. And the only disappointing part was the result, but we played well.
“I think it’s very important to be calm because like I said, we didn’t get the result, we’re disappointed,” he continued.
“But at the end of the day, we didn’t play bad, so we can always improve from what we did yesterday.”
“I think the game against Maritzburg, it’s going to be a difficult one, and we have to grind because they are looking for results, we are also looking for results. So it’s going to be a difficult one but we need to work.”
While it looks like Mamelodi Sundowns are running away with the league, Ntiya-Ntiya feels there is still hope.
“At the moment Sundowns is leading by far,” he added.
“But two seasons before we were in the same situation, but we lost the season by one point. So anything can happen as long as we do our job, collect maximum point every game and then we’ll be fine.
“Anything can happen.” Concluded Ntiya-Ntiya
