Sipho Mbule Dropped A Shocking Revelation

Sipho Mbule’s future at Supersport United is still up in the air, with both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns showing interest.

Both Chiefs and Sundowns have been vying for the Supersport man, and it has now been revealed which team he would prefer to play for.

The last transfer window was dominated by rumors tying Mbule to a lucrative move away from Supersport. With practically every new story, the lead in getting his signature changed hands between Chiefs and Sundowns. Supersport had also made no secret of their desire to sell the player abroad rather than to either of their two local competitors.

All of those claims were ultimately unfounded, as Mbule remained at Supersport United, as he stated in one of his Instagram stories at the time. However, it was revealed earlier this week that the contest for his signature was more complicated than a two-horse race between Chiefs and Sundowns.

The club’s spokesperson, David Sikhosana, then elaborated on the other clubs interested in signing the South African junior international, including Chiefs rivals Orlando Pirates!

However, if Supersport approves a local move, both Chiefs and Sundowns are in a clear shootout for Mbule’s services.

Mbule’s representation and Matsatsantsa CEO Stan Matthews have always stated that they prefer to transfer the player overseas, but if that does not happen, the player’s preferred local destination has been revealed.

Mbule has reportedly chosen Chiefs as his preferred destination, but with the situation largely between the clubs, it is thought that Sundowns has the upper hand in the pursuit of his services.

“Both Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are thought to be interested in acquiring the Bafana Bafana international player. The defending Dstv Premiership champions are claimed to be leading the fight for Mbule’s signing, despite the player’s preference for a move to Naturena.” According to the magazine.

Sundowns have the financial strength, while Chiefs have the glamour club pull and would provide Mbule with more prospects for regular game time, thus those above may be correct, but who will acquire his signature?
