Ronaldo has reacted to Manchester United’s appointment of Benni McCarthy.

Ronaldo’s View On Benni Appointment Revealed
The way Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to the appointment of Benni McCarthy at Manchester United has reportedly been revealed.
According to the Daily Mail, the 37-year-old wantaway forward has been impressed by what the South African coach has brought to the Red Devils since his surprise appointment.
The ex-Cape Town City and AmaZulu manager was added to Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff after a positive performance in his four-part trial run as coach and in his interview for the position.
It has since been reported by The Athletic that McCarthy’s arrival has delighted Bruno Fernandes, who grew up a Porto fan and has fond memories of the former striker’s involvement in the Dragons’ 2004 UEFA Champions League triumph.
Furthermore, it was said that the South African used to “socialise” with Ronaldo during the Portuguese forward’s first spell in England, a time when McCarthy and the now-five-time Ballon d’Or winner would compete in the goalscoring chart.
The latest report claims the former DStv Premiership boss has made a positive impression on the former Real Madrid talisman and has held extra shooting sessions in which Ronaldo, Fernandes and others have participated.
South Africans will look back on McCarthy’s debut campaign at Blackburn Rovers with pride after he scored 18 goals in the Premier League, finishing a place above Ronaldo.
Whether the Portuguese forward remains in England, however, is still to be seen amid rumours that he wants to leave the club in this transfer window so he can continue playing in the UEFA Champions League.
