Despite their 38-year age gap, a 62-year-old grandma and her new husband, 25, have revealed that they hope to conceive their first child together through surrogacy.
Quran McCain and his wife, Cheryl McGregor (shown in 2021), from Rome, Georgia, met in 2012 at Dairy Queen, where they both worked, when he was only 15 years old.
They lost touch, then Quran, the caretaker, saw Cheryl, who already has seven children and 17 grandchildren, working as a clerk at a convenience shop in 2020, and they reconnected.
The two started dating right away when sparks sparked between them. They married last year and are now eager to start a family of their own. At their wedding, they’re pictured.
On TikTok, a 38-year-old engaged couple shares their romance.
Cheryl already has seven children and seventeen grandchildren, but the pair believes they “deserve” to have their own children.
‘We got married in September 2021, and it’s been a few months since we are ready to start a family,’ said Quran.
‘Cheryl is 62 and has seven children and 17 grandchildren already but we feel we deserve children of our own.’
The couple attempted to conceive on their own, but due to Cheryl’s advanced age, they chose to choose surrogacy or adoption.
‘We prefer surrogacy, however, we have seen a lot of people embroiled in legal complications far after the child is born,’ Quran continued.
‘We are looking for a nice surrogate who is willing to sign a contract to have nothing to do with the child after its born.
‘We don’t want people trying to have a baby for us for financial gain, we are not that financially inclined ourselves.
‘With adoption, we are looking for a biracial baby so the baby would know, “I have half black and half white parents,” so he [or she] would feel that we are his true parents.
‘Both of Cheryl’s daughters had hysterectomies in the last few years otherwise they would have been the best option for being as close to a biological child as possible.’
