PSG ready to offload flop signing in the summer after Champions League debacle

Following their humiliating Champions League loss, Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to sell a number of players.

One of the names on the list, according to French source L’Equipe, is Liverpool cult star Georginio Wijnaldum, who has yet to find his feet with the Ligue 1 championship leaders.

With a multitude of options available to manager Mauricio Pochettino, Wijnaldum has struggled to establish himself in the PSG midfield since his arrival from Liverpool.

He did get an assist in PSG’s 3-0 win over Bordeaux, so this might be the start of a good run for him in the league.

Despite his experience in the league, Wijnaldum was not utilized in the club’s 3-2 aggregate loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League, a tie they were leading until a Karim Benzema hat-trick wrecked their chances of reaching the quarter-finals.

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta are nearing an agreement on a new deal, with the Champions League giants showing an interest.

Tuchel’s response to UK Gov’s chant criticism will be adored by Chelsea fans.

Liverpool has contacted the club about a possible €120 million transfer. Mohamed Salah has been transferred to Liverpool.

PSG’s management wants to re-evaluate the squad’s situation and weed out any players who are no longer needed by the club. A number of stars, including Dutchman Wijnaldum, could be sold as a result of this.
