Orlando Pirates: Gabuza says he’d tell Senzo to avoid Kelly’s house.
Senzo Meyiwa, the deceased Orlando Pirates player, was as charming as his former teammate Thamsanqa Gabuza. It’s fair to believe the two were related in some way.
Local justice is currently investigating the murder of Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, as reported widely in South African media.
In October 2014, Meyiwa was shot and died while visiting his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo at her house in Vosloorus.
Meyiwa’s old teammate Gabuza was asked what his farewell message would be to the late athlete before his death during an interview with top sports writer Robert Marawa on the Marawa Sports Worldwide show this weekend.
Gabuza answered by simply telling Meyiwa not to go there at all.
“If you had one last chance to say something to Senzo Meyiwa, what would it be?” Marawa asked the former Orlando Pirates striker.
“ Don’t go there,” Gabuza said after taking a few seconds to think. “Just don’t go there,” the former Bucs number nine repeated.
“In terms of where he was ultimately shot?” Marawa asked to confirm if Gabuza is referring to Kelly Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus.
“Thank you,” Gabuza said with a very emotional look.
