Pirates Tables An Improved Offer For Relebohile Mofokeng?

Orlando Pirates will reportedly offer Relebohile Mofokeng a new improved contract at the club amid growing overseas interest.

The teenage sensation is said to have signed a five-year deal with the club at the start of the season, according to Soccer Laduma, after a brilliant start to life at the club.

Mofokeng continued his form with the club, which led to trials in England with Premier League side, Wolverhampton Wanders, and Queens Park Rangers.

Upon returning to South Africa, he continued to shine for the Buccaneers, helping the club to MTN8 success and Nedbank Cup final that the club will play against Mamelodi Sundowns on the 1st of June 2024.

However, his form sees the club in danger of losing him to overseas clubs like Al Ahly SC, Red Bull Salzburg, and Glasgow Rangers, who have shown interest in his signature.

With all the interests around him, Pirates is expected to hand him a new, improved offer to try and push away any interest in him according to our source around the club and youngster.

“Rele[Relebohile Mofokeng] is an exciting player that the Buccaneers will look to keep beyond this season, and they are going to table a new improved offer to the youngster,” the source said.

“The deal is expected to be a five-year deal, which will keep him at the club until 2029.”

The source also revealed how difficult it is going to be for Pirates to keep him at the club, with all the interest around him.

“But it will be difficult for the club to keep, as offers are expected to come in frequently once the season is done.

“Whether the club decides to keep him or not, it will be down to the management and offers that comes in for him,” the source concluded.
