Orlando Pirates are after the services of Cape Town based star.

For next window, the Orlando Pirates are interested in a midfielder from Cape Town City.

To bolster their team, the Pirates are preparing for the upcoming transfer window with a strong emphasis on acquiring a developing star from Cape Town City.

A midfielder from Cape Town City is targeted by the Orlando Pirates for the upcoming transfer window.

Pirates are making quick plans for their next transfer market move. The Bucs have turned their attention to City’s budding star, Jaedin Rhodes, after failing to sign Stellenbosch FC midfielder Jayden Adams, who joined Mamelodi Sundowns.

Pirates closely monitoring Rhodes.

Pirates have been monitoring Rhodes’ progress for a while, according to a source close to the team. They had originally wanted to sign him during the January transfer window, but the deal fell through. They are now focused on making a move during the upcoming transfer window.

“He (Jaedin Rhodes) has been one of their (Pirates) targets for some time now. They have been monitoring him though there hasn’t been much happening. They were targeting him for the January transfer window period. Now that it didn’t happen, they have more time to work on it and will see what happens in the next window. But they are interested in him. That I can tell you,” the source confirmed.

Squad reshuffle expected to make room

It is anticipated that the Pirates will alter their roster to make room for Rhodes, either by cutting or loaning out players. Prior to the upcoming transfer window, the team wants to maximize its roster.

“Obviously, they will either loan some out or release some as well. But that’s the time they need to work on their squad, and since it didn’t happen in January, they will work on it in the off-season. Rhodes is one player on that list already,” the source added.

Pirates’ broader transfer ambitions

Rhodes is not the only item on the Pirates’ shopping list, as The South African recently reported. Devin Titus of Stellenbosch FC and Yanela Mbuthuma, a talented striker for Richards Bay, are two other exceptional players they have their eye on. The Pirates’ interest in these young players demonstrates their dedication to remaining one step ahead of the competition, since they represent the future of South African football.

All eyes will be on the Pirates’ next moves during the upcoming transfer window as they look to add new players to their roster.
