Following the high-profile transfer of Teboho Mokoena last week, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United have reached an agreement on a new deal. Per Mazola Molefe

Left back Sifiso Ngobeni is expected to join SSU on loan until the end of the season, according to Siya sources at Chloorkop – a move that should be confirmed before today’s deadline day window closes, assuming all paperwork is completed on time.

Downs signed Ngobeni, 24, from Bloemfontein Celtic, who later sold their status to Royal AM, at the start of the season.

But he’s only made two appearances since joining the DStv Premiership log leaders, so a move elsewhere is exactly what his career needs right now – and Soccer Laduma has learned that he’ll be joining SSU.

Downs reportedly paid R16 million for Mokoena, and the Siya crew reported earlier this month that two players were also offered to SSU as part of the transfer negotiations.

Another deal that is likely to be completed before the window closes at midnight is the signing of striker Promise Mkhuma, who has shown great potential but has yet to break into the Sundowns starting lineup.

SSU is eager to have the player join coach Kaitano Tembo’s squad this month, but the Siya crew understands negotiations are still ongoing.
