Njabulo Blom, a defender for Kaizer Chiefs, made a shocking revelation regarding former coach Stuart Baxter.

Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Blom has weighed in on the club’s former coach Stuart Baxter’s rant in which he accused his successor Arthur Zwane of sabotage.

The Briton stirred the hornet’s nest when he implied that Zwane and his assistant Dillon Sheppard were responsible for his exit from the club.

When speaking to SABC Sport, Baxter said “there were agendas within the club” and “those agendas were going to be satisfied whether I liked it or not”.

A visible irate Zwane on Wednesday responded, telling the media that Baxter should take responsibility for his decisions.

Blom said the tiff had not affected them in any way as they want to focus on their match and the season by producing good results on the pitch.

“What happens outside football, has nothing to do with us. It doesn’t affect us in any way. We are focusing on the team and making sure we deliver the best for our supporters,” Blom told the media.

Interestingly, one of the contentious issues was Baxter’s alleged refusal to field young players. During his tenure as the Soweto giants’ boss, there were questions over why he hardly used Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

Following his departure, Chiefs released in excess of 10 senior players including Bernard Parker, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Samir Nurkovic, Leonardo Castro and Daniel Akpeyi.

They retained young players and also brought in several new faces. The Bafana defender added he would not let external issues affect his game.

“As I said, I just want to focus on doing well for the team, whatever happens outside, doesn’t affect me in any way.”

Chiefs have won two of their four games so far, losing the other two to Royal AM and Mamelodi Sundowns, which was a heavy 4-0 defeat.

On Saturday, one man down, they beat Richards Bay 1-0 and will be hoping to build on that result as they look to restore the glory days under Zwane.

The former Chiefs winger signed a three-year deal with the Glamour Boys.
