NEW APPEARANCE | Kaizer Chiefs has welcomed the European Striker.

Fresh face, At NATURENA, the European Striker has touched down.

Kaizer Chiefs appear to still be keen on signing more players before the closing of the domestic transfer window on 22 September.

After having signed Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, Chiefs are reported to be assessing a French striker whose full names are unknown, according to Phakaaathi.

The publication reports that the said striker arrived at Naturena last week, and he could be offered a deal should he impress Arthur Zwane and his technical team.

As things stand, Chiefs are struggling in front of goal with all the weight put on two players in new signings Bimenyimana and Ashley du Preez.

However, their goalscoring problems are still haven’t been solved – and this could be the reason they are still opening a cheque book.

To date, Chiefs have scored just four goals in the league while they have conceded seven – three of which came against Maritzburg United while the other came via a spot-kick against Richards Bay FC.

And that’s not a good return for a team that’s eager to challenge for honours this season, especially after signing some good players in this transfer window.

“I am not sure of his name but he is Jean-Paul-something, I forget. He last played in Australia or New Zealand,” said a source to the publication.

“He was recommended to the club and they agreed to take a closer look at him to see if he might be a good find,” added the source.

Can Jean Paul, 30 years old, add value to Kaizer Chiefs? Is he the only way out?

It remains to be seen if he can impress Arthur Zwane, land a contract, and become a Glamour Boy in the coming days.

Kaizer Chiefs are in desperate need of a goal-scoring forward who can make things happen for them and restore joy to the Amakhosi faithful.
