Fans of Samir Nurkovic from the Kaizer Chiefs can exhale a sigh of relief. Dajan Simac, Nurkovic’s agent, has shot down claims that he had signed with Royal AM.
According to the source, Nurkovic signed a 2 year pre-contract to play football for Mam’Khize’s Royal AM next season after the story went viral on Thursday.
“KickOff can now confirm that the Serbian has signed with ambitious club Royal AM. The lucrative transfer will be a two-year deal with a further option of an additional year,” the outlet reported.
But the player’s agent says there is no such thing.
“This is not true,” Simac told SABC Sport.
Simac went on to say that the 29-year-old player’s Kaizer Chiefs contract has a one-year extension option, and that he’s started talking to Amakhosi about Nurkovic’s future.
“Of course, there has been a lot of interest in Samir, but he is still a Chiefs player and we are talking to the club about the future. I don’t know anything about the rumours that he will be joining Royal AM,” Simac added.
