NATURENA | Arthur Zwane identifies FOUR potential Kaizer Chiefs captains to succeed Itumeleng Khune.

Itumeleng Khune has been confirmed as Kaizer Chiefs captain but he is not guaranteed to start every match. Arthur Zwane has named his FOUR back-ups

Zwane has named his FOUR potential vice-captains for the up-and-coming season.

If Khune does not start one of these FOUR men will wear the Amakhosi armband.

ZWANE’S FOUR POTENTIAL VICE CAPTAINS

Zwane has named Keagan Dolly and Khama Billiat as well as newcomers Zitha Kwinika and Yusuf Maart as backup to Khune.

“When you look at a player like Zitha Macheke who has been part of the team from the development then we obviously had to let him go and he came back a different player with more experience. So he has those leadership qualities and he was the captain at Stellenbosch,” Zwane stated on iDiskiTimes.

He then discussed all the players that could captain Kaizer Chiefs in Khune’s absence.

“You look at a player like Keagan Dolly, you look at Khama, you look at Yusuf Maart, you look at many other players you can mention. The list is long of players who have those leadership skills,” Zwane added.

Khune is currently not guaranteed regular game time despite being club captain.

Meaning, if he does start he will lead Chiefs but if he does not then either Dolly, Billiat, Kwinika or Maart will wear the captain’s armband.

All FOUR men are relatively new in terms of the Chiefs captaincy. However, they all present great leadership qualities.
