Musician’s Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye’s Family Issues Statements On Rape Allegations 

Jub Jub to serve Amanda Du-Pont, Masechaba Khumalo, Refilwe Khumalo and Bonokuhle Nkala with letters of demand.

Our son, Celebrated TV Presenter and musician Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye and family have noted with serious concerns disparaging allegations leveled against him by Amanda Du pont following his interview on MacG’s popular podcast n chill.

First it must be noted that his statements confirming intimate details about his romantic relationship with her in society was never meant to embarrass nor shame Ms Amanda Du Pont, but part of him owning up to his past, including his relationships, which he can’t change or deny.

However, the musician and TV reality show Presenter has been gobsmacked by claims which have now gone viral on social media claiming that our son has sexually and physically abused Amanda du pont during the cause of their romantic relationship with Ms Amanda Du Pont. It is unfortunate that these heavy allegations are false and fake, as a family we met Amanda Du pont when our son introduced her to us we accepted her as one of our own. Amanda also introduced our son to her father. During their relationship they had mutual respect and understanding, love and support.

In as far as Ms Maschaba Khumalo’s allegations are concerned our son has never had any romantic relationship with her instead what we know is she was pursuing our son and he turned her down.

The claims and serious allegations by Ms Du pont were clearly concocted to injure and defame our son’s name which he is working hard to safeguard.

South Africa is currently dealing with a serious pandemic of Gender Based violence, and it’s concerning to have such popular figures abusing a serious matter as GBV to tarnish someones name all in the name of punishment because he revealed certain aspects of their romantic relationship which they might have not wanted others to know.

It is important to mention that all sexual relations that happened during the course of our son’s relationship with Ms Du pont were all consensual and there was never any incident of abuse as claimed by her public statements.

MOLEMO our son and his management team would not leave the claims unattended and have since taken a decision to serve Amanda Du pont, Ms Maschaba khumalo, Refilwe Khumalo and Bonokuhle Nkala with letters of demands with clear instructions that they should retract the unfounded allegations made against him, and ultimately apologise for their claims.

Failure to adhere to the instructions will see our son, who like any SA Citizen whose constitutional rights has been infringed, go the legal route to clear his name.
He will be opening a case of crimen injuria and defamation against Amanda Du pont, Ms maschaba khumalo, bonoluhle nkala, and Refilwe khumalo who have been pulled to campaign against our son by Amanda Du pont on her social media page. Their claims have damaged our sons reputation, infringed his rights to privacy and dignity.

It’s also poignant that we also highlight that Judge Brian Spilg of the South Gauteng high Court presided over a similar case in the matter between Dj Fresh and Ntsiki Mazwai, during which he cautioned people NOT to abuse social media to make unfounded and irresponsible claims of Gbv which could not be backed up by any facts or evidence.

The judge ruled against Ms Mazwai and ordered her to pay Dj Fresh R200 000 in damages excluding legal fees which are in the region on R 500 000.

She was also ordered to remove the damaging claims on all her social media platforms and we have no doubt that the same fate will befall Ms Dupont and Madchaba and anyones outrageous and irresponsible claims made without any facts or truth to them.
