Mike Makaab To Meet Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United

Mike Makaab has announced that he will visit Kaizer Chiefs in Gauteng, and has given a positive update on SuperSport United player Sipho Mbule’s future.

Two of his clients, Bernard Parker and Kearyn Baccus, have contracts expiring in July, so the famed South African agency is expected to meet with Chiefs this week.

He earlier told iDIski Times that neither player has received word on whether their contracts will be renewed, with Baccus reportedly garnering interest from other PSL and Asian clubs.

However, there is talk that the Chiefs are interested in another of his clients, Kobamelo Kodisang.

“We’ve had a very brief discussion with Bobby and Kaizer Jnr and I’m probably going to make my way to Johannesburg next week [to discuss my players’ futures],” he said on Gagasi FM before confirming he will be meeting the Matsatsansa CEO.

“I’m spending a few days there because we’ve got some very important meetings, I’ve set up a meeting with stan Matthews regarding the future of Sipho Mbule.

“I’m not 100% sure where we start but one thing I can tell you about those who are concerned about Sipho; we have him in a special program – both with a sports psychologist and with a physical trainer.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that come pre-season, Sipho will be ready to fight for a place in his new team. He’s certainly not going to be sitting in the stands for two years.”
