Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck off to Israel.

Rushine De Reuck, a defender for Mamelodi Sundowns, will join the Israeli Premier League on loan, according to SABC Sport.

According to reports, De Reuck has committed to playing for Maccabi Petah Tikva for the rest of the season; the agreement will be reviewed in July.

The transfer could open up opportunities in Europe in addition to providing the center-back, who is represented by Siyavuma Sports Group, with consistent playing experience overseas.

After an outstanding time with The Team of Choice, De Reuck left Maritzburg United to join Sundowns nearly four years ago.

Additionally, Bafana earned a spot in the AFCON 2025, which will take place in Morocco from December 2025 to January 2026.

In recent seasons, the defender has not played many minutes at Chloorkop due to injuries that have halted his progress and certain team acquisitions.

Downs coach Miguel Cardoso said at a press conference on Thursday that they will search for options abroad for players who haven’t played much.

“We hold on to players because we feel at times that maybe we are not able to find solutions for them in the PSL, not because we don’t care,” he said.

“You will see that in the coming months we will work at resolving this and even maybe move some of them to Europe so they can market the club,.”

Masandawana on a six-month loan deal with an option to make the arrangement permanent.

Prior to moving back to South Africa, the 28-year-old was a teenager and was a member of FC Parcos in Portugal.
