Mamelodi Sundowns Rejects An Inquiry For Teboho Mokoena.

African giants target  Mamelodi Sundowns Sundowns star Teboho Mokoena, as movements continue at the Chloorkop-based club.

In the last 10 days, there have been movements of players and technical staff at Sundowns that suggest that they will be more movements before the beginning of the 2024-2025 season.

After the departure of Bongani Zungu, Brian Mandela Onyango, Gaston Sirino, and Thabiso Kutumela, which was followed by head coach Rulani Mokwena’s departure alongside his assistant Michael Loftman and performance analyst Dayle Solomon, more names are linked with an exit.

Junior Mendieta is expected to be among the next players to leave, as Greek Super League club Volos NFC are said to be in advanced talks to land the Argentinean, while Al Ahly SC is targeting Teboho Mokoena according to Soccer Laduma.

The 27-year-old South African international is said to be Al Ahly head coach Marcell Koller’s target to replace outgoing Aliou Dieng despite  Sundowns turning down the initial offer for the box-to-box middlefielder.

The publication reports that the player’s agent Glyn Binkin has denied the offer from Egyptian giants, but the latest developments by Cairo24.Com suggests that CAF Champions League champions are interested in signing Mokoena and their initial inquiry was denied.

Meanwhile, the former Supersport United star is said to have turned down a contract extension from the Brazilians, as he is looking to see out his remaining two-year contract at the club before heading to Europe.
