Mamelodi Sundowns might lose their Nigerian Striker to Europe.
Mamelodi Sundowns could lose on-loan Nigerian striker to Europe.
Mamelodi Sundowns could reportedly lose a 21-year-old Nigerian striker even before being able to give him a PSL debut in their colours.
Etiosa Ighodaro is the player who, according to iDiskiTimes , has attracted interest from Partizan Belgrade of Serbia.
Ighodaro belongs to Sundowns who signed him from Abuja College, but loaned him out AmaTuks in the Motsepe Foundation Championship to gain experience.
The lanky striker netted four goals in 18 appearances for AmaTuks last season, and while that might be deemed below par, Ighodaro still managed to catch the eye of Belgrade coaches.
Sundowns could be tempted to cash in on Ighodaro simply because of the foreign quota conundrum they are currently facing within their squad.
As things stand, Sundowns have five foreign internationals on their books, and they still have to make room for Abubeker Nassir of Ethiopia.
And for that reason, the Brazilians could be tempted to consider offers for Ighodaro who still has two more years left on his contract with them.
