Last November, he was stopped by traffic officials for drunk driving for unknown reasons.

Zuma’s agent has issued an important update on the midfielder’s future with the Kaizer Chiefs.

Dumisani Zuma, a midfielder for the Kaizer Chiefs, has also returned to the training pitch at Naturena after being out in the cold for months following his incarceration.

After being arrested for drunk driving in November 2021, the midfielder was suspended by the team and placed in a rehabilitation program.

“Zuma is back with the team. I saw him training with the rest of the squad on Monday. They have given him a lifeline to showcase his talent again.” a source told Sowetan regarding the Kaizer Chiefs star.

“He’s still going through the rehabilitation process. It looks like the club deducted a certain amount of money from his salary as a fine.’’

“Yes, he [Zuma] is training with the team again but I don’t think it’s for me to comment further when Kaizer Chiefs have published every step of the way. I am not at liberty to give more details,” his agent added.

ZUMA WAS SUSPENDED AND FINED LATE LAST YEAR BY THE GLAMOUR BOYS.

“Kaizer Chiefs is disappointed to learn of the recent alleged conduct of Dumsani Zuma as reported in the media and has taken the decision to immediately suspend him from all Club activities pending an internal disciplinary hearing,” a club statement read in November 2021.

“His suspension is in the interests of all parties concerned and does not in itself carry any inference of guilt or prejudgement. The club will ensure the matter is resolved as quickly as reasonably possible.”

It remain to be seen if Kaizer Chiefs will give him a second chance to be at the club and further extend his contract with further more years.
