Nasreddine Nabi has officially joined Kaizer Chiefs as their new head coach. Interestingly, he is one of TEN new faces spotted with Amakhosi.

Nasreddine Nabi is officially the new Chiefs head coach, according to the clubs official Instagram page.

Interesting, Nabi has brought two new players with him upon joining up with Amakhosi in Turkey. Meaning, a total of TEN new faces are currently training with Chiefs. Let’s take a look at all the new faces – players and coaches.


Nabi joined up with Fernando Da Cruz, Ilyes Mzhoughi and Majdi Safi who were already training with Chiefs in Turkey.

“Members of the technical staff, including Fernando da Cruz, Ilyes Mzoughi, and conditioning coach Majdi Safi, were part of the traveling party,” FarPost stated.

Meanwhile, Nabi has brought second assistant Khalil Ben Youssef, and performance analyst Ayman Makroud with him. Therefore, forming Chiefs’ new technical team containing six new coaches. The Soweto giants took to social to confirm Nabi’s appointment moments ago.

“We are delighted to welcome Coach Nasreddine Nabi to the Kaizer Chiefs family. We are happy to have you with us, Coach,” the caption read on X.


An excited quartet of new players have been spotted in training with Chiefs.

Firstly, ex-Orlando Pirates star, Bongani Sam is training with Chiefs. Interestingly, he is reported set to become their first signing.

“Orlando Pirates are understood to have given defender Bongani Sam the greenlight to discuss personal terms with Kaizer Chiefs. SABC Sport can reveal the two parties have reached an unprecedented agreement that would see a player move between the two Soweto giants should he pass a medical and have the finer details ironed out,” the report read on SABCSport.

Meanwhile, three DStv Diski Challenge players have been invited to train with the first team. Siphesihle Tati, Nkosana Mbuthu and Manqoba Ozoemena all have the chance to earn promotion under Nabi.

“Kaizer Chiefs’ talent Siphesihle Tati is currently training with the senior side as he is being assessed by the coaching team. iDiski Times received information that the midfielder is currently training with the senior side, and he is under the assessment and watchful eye of Fernando Da Cruz, who will soon be announced as the assistant coach. ‘Zizo’, as he is affectionally, known had a good season in the DDC last season, carrying the Amakhosi side alongside Neo Bohloko, and helping them to finish in the top four,” iDiskiTimes wrote.

Meanwhile, Mbuthu and Ozoemena have also been spotted in Turkey training with the senior side.
