Kaizer Chiefs target Portgual-based South African attacker
Kaizer Chiefs are in the process of replacing their entire squad with new young talent… around 13 players are expected to leave Naturena… Rejuvenation of age. They are in the midst of ushering in a new age.
This has the potential to be fantastic. Kaizer Chiefs are apparently interested in signing Mzansi’s promising winger Kobamelo Kodisang, who has been linked with a move to Naturena in Portugal.
After Keagan Dolly, Kaizer Chiefs may sign another local player who has recently returned from a stay in Europe. It could be Braga’s Kodisang this time.
Kaizer Chiefs have identified 22-year-old South African youth international Kodisang as a prospective signing, according to a recent report.
The former Platinum Stars and Bidvest Wits winger has struggled to find regular playing time for Braga’s reserve squad.
Per Soccer Laduma “Kabomelo Kodisang is said to have made it into Kaizer Chiefs’ radar, with the Soweto giants said to be asking questions about his availability at the end of the season.”
Furthermore, Kodisang has a long-standing relationship with Molefi Ntseki, the Kaizer Chiefs’ Head of Youth, who trained the Seraleng-born midfielder at the SA youth level.
It’s unclear whether the dynamic winger will join Naturena before the new season begins.
At Chiefs, things are about to change. Kaizer Motaung Jnr, the club’s Sporting Director, brought this part home barely two months ago.
The former Kaizer Chiefs striker turned senior manager discussed the club’s choice on the age range in the squad during a recent press conference.
“I believe it’s important for everyone to understand, and it’s something the club will constantly emphasize, that youth is an important element of our overall plan.” We need to lower the team’s average age.
“It isn’t just us.” If you look at international football and how to make the necessary changes, you’ll notice that most clubs have a good balance of young, and you have to start somewhere.
