Kaizer Chiefs are interested in signing a top-flight defensive midfielder from a PSL club.
Ts Galaxy midfielder Mothusi Aubaas has recently been approached by Kaizer Chiefs. The midfielder has had a strong season for Ts Galaxy, putting in some impressive performances.
He has undoubtedly done enough to pique the interest of top Dstv Premiership clubs, and Kaizer Chiefs have taken note of his efforts.
For more than two seasons, Kaizer Chiefs have been unable to replace Willard Katsande, and their defensive midfielder role is quite weak.
Kaizer Chiefs even attempted Njabulo Blom in the position, but he did not perform well for the team.
Another player who was experimented with in the defensive midfielder role was reigning PSL defender of the season Njabulo Ngcobo, who played most of the season as a defensive midfielder but struggled despite early signs of improvement.
Mothusi Aubaas could be the midfielder Kaizer Chiefs is seeking for, but given the pressure the team is under to win trophies right now, he may require assistance if he signs with the club.
