Kaizer Chiefs says Goodbye to one of their player.

Kaizer Chiefs’ Mdantsane heads to Richards Bay.

Mduduzi Mdantsane, a midfielder for Kaizer Chiefs, will be on loan at Richards Bay for the rest of the season. The midfield player is expected to go to KwaZulu-Natal to finalize his loan transfer, which has been finalized by the two teams.

Mdantsane’s injury from a car accident kept him out of the preseason. The former Baroka midfielder had a broken jaw in the collision, which required surgery to fix. Under Nasreddine Nabi, he has had difficulty regaining his spot on the squad after his recuperation. He hasn’t even been included in Nabi’s match-day squad this season.

He only played in the Home of Legends Cup in Gqeberha this season, and he performed admirably. Amakhosi won the first event thanks to his penalty kick conversion. But he hasn’t been added to the squad as a result of that performance.

WHY ARE KAIZER CHIEFS LENDING MDUDUZI MDANTSANE OUT?

The Chiefs have since chosen to loan him and provide him game time for the next four months. The agreement would see him return to Naturena for the 2025/26 season.

Mdantsane, a Chiefs academy graduate, joined the team at the beginning of the 2023/24 season. Last season, he appeared in 16 games across all competitions, scoring one goal and assisting another. His contract will end in June 2026.

Richards Bay, meanwhile, has only scored nine points all season and is now in 14th place. They are in dire need of quality, especially in midfield, and have only won two games. A FARPost source claims that the team made attacking midfield a top focus during this transfer window.

They seized the chance as soon as they learned that the 30-year-old midfielder was available. Another midfield player from the Chiefs is also on loan with the Natal Rich Boyz. At the beginning of the season, Sabelo Radebe relocated to the KZN club.

But his game time has been limited. This season, the 24-year-old has made three appearances as a substitute. His most recent appearance occurred on Sunday when he entered the game for the final seven minutes against the Orlando Pirates.
