Kaizer Chiefs released one of their newly signed player.

After only six months, the former Orlando Pirates star is let go by the Kaizer Chiefs!.

In an attempt to reduce their roster on transfer deadline day, Kaizer Chiefs have sold another senior player to a PSL opponent.

This window, Kaizer Chiefs are still balancing their squad with both new and exiting players.

With the Chiefs signing three players on Monday, deadline day appears to be more of a day to dump guys.

Earlier on Tuesday, SuperSport United announced the signing of winger Christian Saile. His exchange agreement with Tashreeq Morris to the Chiefs has been one of the worst-kept secrets. The club is now likely to announce yet another departure on transfer deadline day.

Sam has joined Chiefs from Pirates.

According to SABC Sport, Bongani Sam has been sent by the Chiefs to Magesi FC on loan for the remainder of the season.

“Kaizer Chiefs are understood to have agreed a loan transfer for defender Bongani Sam to join Magesi FC until the end of the season. The Glamour Boys signed the left back from their Soweto archrivals Orlando Pirates for an undisclosed fee in July as they ushered in a new era following the appointment of coach Nasreddine Nabi. The public broadcaster can confirm that Chiefs have now concluded an agreement with Magesi for Sam to reunite with coach Owen da Gama in Polokwane. It’s a move expected to then be reviewed at the end of the 2024/25 campaign to see what the future holds for Sam given that he spent the last few months recovering from an injury he suffered during a pre-season camp in Turkey and then trying to work his way to be available for selection.” Wrote the website.

Loan signs for Magesi

This appears to be a wise decision for Sam and the Chiefs. The player needs momentum because they haven’t been able to acquire minutes since entering. If they bring him up to speed, Magesi will also gain from his experience. Amakhosi will keep a careful eye on his development in the hopes that he can demonstrate his abilities.

Are you pleased that Sam will be spending the remainder of the season on loan, Chiefs supporters? Please feel free to share your opinions in the space provided below.
