Kaizer Chiefs are in a delicate position regarding star midfielder Njabulo Blom.
What’s the latest on the talented 22-year-old? The longer it goes on without Blom putting pen to paper with Chiefs, the nervier their fans will become.
KAIZER CHIEFS MIDFIELDER NJABULO BLOM IS A MAN IN DEMAND

The 22-year-old has entered the final six months of his contract with Amakhosi. It puts the club in a precarious position, and in jeopardy of losing one of the hottest prospects in South African football. SuperSport United had both been credited with an interest in the player.

However, the latest news is that SuperSport have pulled out of any race for Blom’s signature as they can’t put together a package that would appease him and his representatives. Their CEO, Stan Matthews, conceded that his club can’t compete with the financial power of Chiefs, Pirates and especially Sundowns.
That’s good news for Chiefs fans. The bad news for Amakhosi faithful, however, is that the mighty Mamelodi Sundowns have put their hat into the ring.

NJABULO BLOM HOLDS ALL THE CARDS

We all know Bafana boss Hugo Broos is a big fan, and Mandla Masango even went on record recently saying that Blom to be handed the captain’s armband at Chiefs. It seems as though young Njabulo Blom has an awful lot of bargaining power as his career hits an interesting crossroads.

With Sundowns now vying for his coveted signature, this looks as though it might become a long-standing saga. Chiefs fans can only hope that his future lies with them.
