Kaizer Chiefs hold talks to keep or release 25-year-old star .
Ask any Kaizer Chiefs fan to name all the remaining players at the club and one name could be forgotten: Siphosakhe Nyita-Ntiya . The stocky left-back last played and enjoyed much football under Ernst Middendorp .
According to reports, Amakhosi recently decided that the 25-year-old left-back from Bizana will also be leaving the club, but there seems to be second thoughts to keep Ntiya-Ntiya who, on his day, has looked like one of the best left-backs in the country.
The report further underlined that Ntiya-Ntiya is simply one of new head coach Arthur Zwane’s development proteges alongside the likes of Njabulo Blom , Siyabonga Ngezana , Nkosingiphile Ngcobo , and Sabelo Radebe .
“The player struggled under Gavin Hunt and Stuart Baxter, that is true,” a source told Soccer Laduma .
“But don’t forget he was part of the players that came from Arthur’s hands in the development ranks and they know each other very well, so they are currently discussing but he could stay,” he added.
Additionally, Ntiya-Ntiya, who is a SuperSport United development product, has his contract with Amakhosi ending in June 2023.
Meanwhile, Zwane’s team is currently not linked with any left-back, with Sifiso Hlanti and Happy Mashiane the available options, not forgetting Reeve Frosler who is naturally a right-footer.
