Kaizer Chiefs Have Found Nengomasha’s Replacement.
Kaizer Chiefs have found a replacement for Nengomasha!
According to former coach Farouk Khan, Kaizer Chiefs have fully filled the vacuum left by former Zimbabwean defensive midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha.
According to Khan, Nengomasha, who is an Amakhosi club icon in his own right and was a crucial figure to much glory at Naturena during the 2000s, has finally been replaced.
This comes after the team obtained the services of Zitha Kwinika, who was recently named Stellenbosch’s Player of the Season.
“He could fill the role left by Nengomasha, he’s got his attributes as a player,” Farouk Khan told KickOff .
“I think that’s the aim for Kaizer Chiefs, you see in any big club they always look to emulate their former greats.
“You know he’s a box-to-box player as he’s got lots of energy, I suppose they are looking at him to replicate Tinashe’s role.
“Tinashe was very successful in that particular role, and I think he was very successful at Stellenbosch, you know.
“But in the past, we’ve seen that when players come from those clubs. They show a lot of potential, but it’s about ensuring that they maintain that.
“So, I think he’s a player that’s going to add value to Kaizer Chiefs next season.
“He’s got a lot of quality, he’s technically comfortable. But you know, Chiefs want to play a different brand compared to what Stellenbosch were playing.”
Amakhosi complete signing of star defender!
Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker all but confirmed that Zitha Kwinika will be joining Kaizer Chiefs.
“I’d like to wish Zitha well. He’s going back to his boyhood club where he’s developed,” Barker said as quoted by IDiskiTimes .
“Zitha will go back to Kaizer Chiefs, he deserves everything of the best. We wish him well, but be aware that we’re coming for you next season.”
Stellenbosch FC star Zitha Kwinika is set to re-join Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the season!
While the transfer fee remains undisclosed, according to Transfermark the 28-year-old defender is valued at approximately R12 million.
Considering the fact that Kwinika’s the captain and arguably one of the most important Stellenbosch player, it’s hard to believe they’d let their star join Kaizer Chiefs for a ‘bargain’!
