Ashley Du Preez signed a 3years contract in the previous year but the Club is said to have relooked his contract and have offered the player an improved contract of 4 years with an option to extend.

Talks between Ashley Du Preez agency and Kaizer Chiefs continue to be finalised with both parties hoping to find common ground before the end of September.

Ashley Du has managed 2 goals in the PSL this season and with his rise in form he is expected to continue to add and play a vital role to his side which has started the season rather on poor form which saw their coach being thrown at with stuff at Mbombela Stadium on the 20th of August after a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Ts Galaxy.
