Kaizer Chiefs are interested in signing Asante Kotoko SC striker Franck Mbella Etouga ahead of the 2022/2023 season, according to nmmabunda.com.

Chiefs have made an official offer to the Porcupine Warriors for the Cameroonian striker’s services, who has dominated the Ghana Premier League this season.

After releasing a number of players at the end of the season, the Amakhosi are expecting to compete with Mamelodi Sundowns for the South African Premier League championship next season.

Etouga has been a thorn in Kotoko’s side this season, scoring 20 goals, assisting three times, and winning around seven man of the match honors in the process of helping Kotoko win the Ghana Premier League for the first time in eight years.

In October of last year, the former Cameroon U20 international joined Kotoko from Fortuna de Mfou for an undisclosed fee.

Following his great performances in Ghana’s top division, Etouga was included to Cameroon’s preliminary team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Burundi.

Kotoko will have to decide whether to sell the proven goalscorer or keep him at the club for another season in response to Chiefs’ offer.

Saint-Etienne, Galatasaray, SD Eibar, and Atletico Madrid are among the European clubs linked with the 20-year-old center striker.
