Happy Mashianehas requested to leave Kaizer Chiefs over a lack of game time.
FAN-FAVOURITE MASHIANE HEADING OUT OF NATURENA
Happy Mashiane has made two Nedbank Cup appearances this term but not a single outing in the DStv Premiership. Sifiso Hlanti and Edmilson Dove are currently ahead of him in the pecking order, while the club is actively looking for another left-back. If they secure rumoured target Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch, Mashiane will be left with no choice but to leave. Rookie goalkeeper Bontle Molefe is also eager to try out new pastures.
“All he wants is to play. You know Karabo (Molefe) is an under-20 national team goalkeeper and if he doesn’t play it will be difficult for him to play for the national team,” the insider stated on SoccerLaduma.
Kaizer Chiefs will be making a very big mistake by letting their development players go, especially now that they have goalkeeping problems. The young man Bontle Molefe was going to make an impact in a team should he be given a chance to showcase his abilities in the first team.
On the other side there’s Happy Mashiane who’s always been a fridge player for a long time now. It will be better for him to be loaned out just to gain experience and for more game time. Kaizer Chiefs should loan him out to NFD team for game time.
