Jessica Motaung has announced that formation of a Kaizer Chiefs women’s team is currently underway.
Kaizer Chiefs is planning to have a Womens team and according to Jessica Motaung plans to create a Womens team are at advanced stages with the club set to formally establish the team when everything has been finalized.
Jessica Motaung confirmed yesterday on Supersport 202 with Thomas Mlambo that they were already looking at players to sign in the AWFCON tournament and further announcements will be made in due course.
Kaizer Chiefs have been criticized in the past for their lack of support by not having a Women’s team as the previous twam collapsed back late in 2000s.
It remains unclear whether Kaizer Chiefs will be forming the Women’s team this season or next season but what’s clear is that a team will be formed as scouts allover the country are busy embarking on a project search for talented Women in soccer.
