Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly changed their mind on striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana who stopped training with them over a week ago.

According to SABC Sport, Bimenyimana is set to return to South Africa in the near future to put pen to paper with Chiefs.

This despite Bimenyimana’s controversial comments where he labeled Chiefs UNPROFESSIONAL for making him wait longer without indicating if they will sign him.

At the time, Bimenyimana also complained about spending three weeks with Chiefs instead of the two weeks that they agreed on when he first arrived.

He also vowed not to entertain any offers from South Africa after it emerged that SuperSport United had also invited him for trials.

However, that seems to be water under the bridge as Bimenyimana is reported to be on his way back to Naturena where he will join Chiefs.

Bimenyimana, 24, left a good impression during his three-week trial period with Chiefs where he scored two goals in three friendly games.

Amakhosi’s change of mind on Bimenyimana could be prompted by the fact that they have not been able to find better strikers in the market.

In his own words, Zwane admitted that clubs of those that they had targeted are not willing to sell while those available are just not good enough for Chiefs.

As things stand, Chiefs are putting all their trust on Ashley du Preez for goals while they have the young Mduduzi Shabalala as back up.
