Hungry Lions in talks to sign Kaizer Chiefs player
Chiefs Youngster Off The Hook, Lions Show Interest
Lions had been called to face the PSL disciplinary committee after Jomo Cosmos claimed that they had not given Tshepo Mohlala his clearance, which then made him ineligible to play for Lions, according to Ezenkosi.
The case, however, was withdrawn by the PSL on Monday, as it was discovered that Cosmos had no leg to stand on after producing fraudulent documents, as the player was signed on loan by Lions from Chiefs.
The 22-year-old made 10 appearances for Lions in the past season, including the Nedbank Cup, and the club has confirmed that they are currently in talks with Amakhosi to have the player back for another campaign in the GladAfrica Championship.
“Look, we want him back. We want him here again. He is a very good player that boy. We were also worried about what this (case) could do to him because he just loves playing football. He is very disciplined. Tshepo is a dream player in terms of commitment, discipline and talent. We would want to have him here.
There are conversations between us and I, but I can’t confirm right now what will happen. But I know for sure that we all love Tshepo and I believe all of us would love to have him here for the upcoming season,” Lions communications manager Otsile Baitsomedi told the Siya crew.
