Mpho Makola(35) could not control his temper after the penalty kicks, he just failed to control his cool and lost it as he demanded answers from the assistant referee who did not do anything as he saw Onyango moving off his line a couple of times.

A video has emerged on social media where the former Orlando Pirates midfielder Makola was seen literally mandhandling the assistant referee Makola is seen on the video in confrontation with the assistant referee while Cape Town City goalkeeper was also doing his best to interogate the official, but the man was was not giving the answers they needed and Makola aggressively pushed the assistant referee with both his hands, luckily he did not fall, he kept his balance.

He was red-carded for pushing referee Thando Ndzandzeka following their MTN8 defeat during the shoot-out.

In November 2019, Makola was handed a six-month ban after he shoved referee Abongile Tom after Cape Town City were defeated by Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout.

He was charged for an assault on Rreferee.

Makola’s was overturned by SAFA’s appeals board and was turned into a four-match suspension.
