Former Orlando Pirates pitcher Justin Shonga was kicked off his Ismailly team in Egypt.

According to Justin Shonga’s representative, who confirmed to the Siya team that the Egyptian club has failed to pay his payments, his contract with Ismailly has been revoked!

The ex-Orlando Pirates forward went to North Africa in October after a brief time at Cape Town City, and it was expected that he would thrive in his new assignment at one of Egypt’s greatest clubs.

In the following months, these players will be allowed to sign pre-contracts with other clubs.

However, after Shonga’s presence was confirmed, the union only lasted two months.

“We gave the club a letter of demand, which they ignored, and they then tell our client they have no money and Justin should leave for free if he wants,” revealed Karabo Tshabuse, the player’s representation.

He is the second player to leave Ismailly this week due to unpaid fees, with reports that Namibian attacker Benson Shilongo had quit and filed his case to FIFA.

“They (the club) kept his passport, thereby turning him into a hostage.” We finally reached an agreement late last night after multiple calls and threats to send the disagreement to FIFA. If they fail to keep their word, FIFA DRC will be their punishment.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened to a foreign player. Benson Shilongo resigned for similar reasons. In professional football, this is totally unacceptable.”
