Due to injury, former Kaizer Chiefs player may be forced to retire before it’s over.

Former Kaizer Chiefs player who recently got released might retire.

Per Senzo Sambo, former Kaizer Chiefs player Lebogang Manyama has ongoing injury concerns. He recently underwent a scan and is awaiting the results to determine whether he can resume playing football.

Lebogang Manyama played a crucial role in the season that his Naturena-based club lost the league on the final day of the season, scoring 8 goals and assisting an additional 8 goals. He came dangerously close to delivering a trophy for the team.

But since then, the attacking midfielder, who can also play as a striker, has been plagued by a never-ending string of injuries, which even forced Kaizer Chiefs to let him go because he was becoming a liability.

Manyama was said to be interested in being signed by Cape Town City in the previous season, but they have since stepped back and are waiting for a fresh update on his injury crisis as they don’t want to take a chance on signing a player who might not feature at all due to injuries.

Manyama spent almost the entire season on the sidelines nursing injuries, getting injuries after injuries even after his release.

It is crucial for Cape Town City to have players in good health and strength because they will be representing their nation in the Champions League. Signing a player who is constantly injured might not be a good business decision for them.
