The Portugal international was said to have suffered an injury recently, but a recent report by journalist Zee Shanclvx contradicted those claims.
Rangnick reportedly chose not to start Ronaldo for tactical reasons, but the number seven demanded that he not be included in the club’s matchday squad at all.
