Chiefs Defender Attracting Local & Overseas Interest
With the arrival of Zitha Kwinika, it is thought that the services of a seasoned Kaizer Chiefs defense will no longer be required.
The Glamour Boys are set to make significant changes to their roster before the start of the upcoming season, as they attempt to usher in a new era under Arthur Zwane’s leadership.
Daniel Cardoso’s contract with the Chiefs expires in June, and according to information obtained by the Siya team, he has already sparked interest both locally and internationally.
Cardoso and Amakhosi are expected to split up this week, according to our sources. One of the key topics of discussion will be the defender’s contract expiration.
“They still have to sit down and discuss everything, and that is coming in the next few days. He has been at Chiefs for quite some time, and he wants to stay on,” said the source.
“There are a lot of teams that are interested in him in South Africa and a few interested abroad.”
The 32-year-old joined Chiefs from Free State Stars in 2015 and has appeared in over 200 appearances for the Soweto giants.
With the new revolution, the squad will be built up. Cardoso’s tenure has come to an end, yet he intends and hope to be a Glamour Boys next season should he be given a chance.
