BREAKING | Kaizer Chiefs are set to part ways with their 3 key players.

Chiefs’ reshuffle of their squad will swallow Leonardo Castro, Samir Nurkovic and Lazarous Kambole with the three having scored a combined two goals from.

Castro, the longest-serving member of the three, is without a goal this season despite having already featured in 13 games.

He has had minutes in the last seven games for AmaKhosi following his injury troubles.

With only a single game to play, the Colombian now faces the risk of completing his first season without scoring since arriving in South Africa via Mamelodi Sundowns seven years ago.

His contract runs up at the end of next month and is amongst the select group of players on packages of over R5 million per year at Chiefs.

Fellow strike partner Nurkovic is in no better waters.

He has had injury worries this season and has a single goal in 15 appearances.

The Serbian’s contract which was improved at the beginning of last season runs up at the end of June and he is packing up to join Royal AM.

Kambole has a single goal in five appearances this term but what is worse for him is that he has scored twice in 45 appearances for Chiefs.

With 1900 minutes of football played by Kambole it means he has averaged a single goal in 950 minutes.

The Zambian will leave having earned far much better than what he was getting back home but having failed to justify his earnings.

His three-year contract runs up at the end of June and has spent this season sitting on the transfer list.

So, with a combined game time minute count of about 1700 the three have delivered just two goals.
