Bernard Parker’s Agent gives Updates about Parker’s Future
Kaizer Chiefs: Bernard Parker’s agent gives confident update on his future
Bizarrely, most Kaizer Chiefs fans want Bernard Parker completely gone from Naturena, this is based on the general views across social media.
While it is difficult for most supporters to see the value of the 36-year-old forward through the TV screen and match action, Parker represents huge value as a leader, tactical student, experience head, and stellar professional.
Amakhosi could go ahead and sign all the exciting young talent the world has to offer, but you will always need one or two long-serving players to carry the club’s culture in the camp.
This is therefore why Parker is more likely to stay at Kaizer Chiefs rather than simply signing out. Additionally, his agent, Mike Makaab believes the Boksburg-born player is likely to land a role within the club.
“We are not in a hurry, I personally met with Bernard in Johannesburg and we are both in agreement that he is going to be starting his coaching badges, and that is something he is very passionate about,” Makaab of Prosport International told SABC Sport .
“I think, with his leadership qualities, he has a real chance of being successful as a football coach – we will wait to hear from Chiefs. Let’s see where it leads us. We have a number of options for Bernard, both within football and outside of direct football.
Looking like a man that indeed has his future sorted.
“[Parker’s] planning for his life after football has been done very carefully, with incred ible input from him…so, Bernard is fine, whatever happens. There could be a different role at the club but I haven’t sat down to discuss this with them,” Makaab added.
“But I’ve had a long discussion with Bernard and the good thing is, whatever comes his way, we have a number of options and that is exciting. He has prepared himself very well for the day that he says ‘I am hanging up my boots’”- Parker’s agent Makaab.
